New shed for AOC Terra

February 2011 – Practical education is important for the students at AOC Terra in Groningen. So the school in Slochteren has a site with 2 hectares of land and a range of agricultural machinery. A new shed has been built to house all the equipment. Verzinkerij Wolvega hot-dip galvanised the steel structure for the new shed.

On the site of a former nursery garden in Slochteren, AOC Terra has a site for practical training. It includes 2 hectares of land, where students can learn in practice how to work with a range of agricultural machinery. The school has tractors, ploughs, earth working equipment, seeders and transplanters, crop equipment, excavators, dumper trucks and other earthmoving machinery. To house all this equipment, a new shed has been built that is 12 m wide and 25 m long. So there is plenty of space for parking the machines in an orderly way. And if the weather means the lessons can't be conducted on the fields, the shed is used for training.

M. Postma Konstruktiebedrijf from Zwaagwesteinde delivered and assembled the steel structure for the new shed. Verzinkerij Wolvega hot-dip galvanised it. The AOC Terra pupils now have a stylish shed that is a great help on the practical side of the training.
